- Laos records inflation rate of 11.1 percent for April
The inflation rate for April was 11.1 percent, a marginal decrease from the 11.2 percent recorded in March, according to the Lao Statistics Bureau’s Inflation Report for the previous month.
Among the commodity categories, the highest year-on-year inflation increases were observed in housing, water supply, electricity and cooking fuel, which rose by 25.2 percent; healthcare and pharmaceuticals, which increased by 20.5 percent; household goods, up by 18.2 percent; education, which saw an increase of 16.5 percent; restaurants and hotels, which rose by 15.5 percent; and alcoholic beverages and tobacco, which increased by 14 percent........More>>>
